Transferring-In to UTHealth as a J-1 Exchange Visitor
Foreign nationals who are already in the U.S. on a J-1 exchange visitor program must be approved by that J-1 sponsor program to transfer to UTHealth. Current J-1 program sponsor must transfer the visitor's SEVIS electronic record to sponsorship of UTHealth before the Office of International Affairs (OIA) is able to issue continuing Form DS-2019.
