Choucair carves out 30-year career at UTHealth Houston

Bassel Choucair, associate vice president of IT user experience and support at UTHealth Houston, recently celebrated a significant milestone: 30 years with the university. It has been his first and only place of employment after graduating from Boston University with a degree in biomedical engineering.



Honoring Native American Heritage Month

Taylor Crawford, a first year DrPH student in the Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences department. She is a Gates Millennium Scholar representing Native Forward, and is a member of the Chahta (Choctaw) Nation* of Oklahoma.

New student association helps veterans connect at McGovern Medical School

Daniel Martinez decided to become a doctor after seeing medicine in action during his time in the Marine Corps. For Adam Fisher, it was his experience as a medic in the Army. Both have found a home at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and in a new student group that supports military veterans.
