Charmaine D. Wilson Martin is the Director, Research Services and the Associate Director, Biosciences Laboratory at Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth. She has over 20 years of experience in both research and administration. She received her Master’s degree in Human and Molecular Genetics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston MD Anderson Cancer Center, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences where she focused on Li-Fraumeni Syndrome an inherited cancer syndrome. After completing her degree she worked as a Laboratory Manager at MD Anderson Cancer Center where she focused on her management, administrative and research skills. She then worked in the Department of Neuro-oncolgy as an Associate Financial Analyst, where she managed all of the finances for the department, including grants, gifts and clinical trials. She previously worked for the Department of Defense in Washington DC as a Research Scientist. In 2015, she joined the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Ms. Wilson Martin has multiple publications and presentations.
