Dr. Noser is an Assistant Professor of Neurology, holds the James C. Grotta, M.D. Chair in Neurological Recovery and Stroke, and Director of Community Engagement for the Stroke Institute. Dr. Noser is a native Houstonian who has spent her career at UTHealth. She completed Medical School, Internship, Neurology Residency and a unique combined Vascular Neurology and Neurorehabilitation Fellowship at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. She has been a pivotal leader in growing the stroke program over the past 15 years and presently in developing the Community Engagement Core of the Stroke Institute.
Dr. Noser’s contributions:
Presently, Dr. Noser’s objectives for the Stroke Institute are to create opportunities for researchers to build sustainable community partnerships between communities, community based organizations and academia, further develop the Community Advisory Board as a resource to all Institute members who want to engage and integrate the community into the research process, develop and implement novel community education and learning service projects. Long- term these partnerships can serve as a platform for future community based participatory research and education programs.
